5 Things to do After Work in Marquette

It’s 5 PM and you’re off the clock in Marquette. Here’s a roundup of things you can do to make the most of the 5-9 after your 9-5:
🎭 Catch a meal and a movie at the Delft Bistro, set in the historic Delft Theatre. Centrally located in Marquette’s charming downtown, you’ll be in a great place to peruse the local shops and snag some local goods.
🍻 Meet friends for happy hour at Blackrocks Brewery
Enjoy live music, trivia nights, and shopping their cool merch collection at their pub downtown. You may even find yourself taking a growler home!
💫 Take an evening stroll on the beach at McCarty’s Cove. Situated along Marquette’s Multi-Use Path, you can scoot, bike or jog along the coast from downtown to the cove. In just minutes, you’ll be relaxing to the sound of Lake Superior’s waves.
🚲 Go for a bike ride along the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. The Iron Ore Heritage Trail is a 47-mile, year round, multi-use, interpretive trail. You’ll find folks cycling, hiking, snowmobiling, cross country skiing and more on the various sections of trail!
🌅 Catch the sunset at Presque Isle Park. The 323-acre headland/peninsula is simply called “the island” by many locals (presque isle translates to “nearly an island”). It offers picnic areas, fishing spots and trails for those looking to escape to nature and recharge.
