Michigan Cyber Range hubs like Wayne State University are also spread throughout the state, providing a platform for individuals to receive cybersecurity training with more than 40 industry certifications, exercises and workshops.

Michigan’s tech communities play a crucial role in advancing the concepts and commercialization efforts of both startups and established companies. The MSU Innovation Center has helped businesses obtain an impressive 52 patents in 2022. SmartZones throughout the state also foster collaboration among tech companies, entrepreneurs and researchers with resources such as coworking spaces, incubators and accelerators. Launch by NTT Data, a Silicon Valley-based company, established its product-minded software development hub in Ann Arbor in 2010, leveraging its expertise to assist Fortune 500 and high-tech clients in achieving enhanced customer experiences and growth of revenue.

The Michigander Scholarship Program offers scholarship dollars to top tech or engineering students at participating universities who sign a letter of employment with an approved company and commit to staying for 12 months in Michigan.
