Michigan Career Portal Update
Over the past 2.5 years, the Michigan Career Portal has provided real-time information on over 120,000 job postings and provided easy access to career opportunities for individuals looking to make their next career move in Michigan. Thousands of people have used the Portal to research employers, apply for job opportunities, and learn more about working in an array of industries across the state.
While the Portal did not receive funding in the FY2026 State of Michigan budget, we remain focused on providing resources that support economic prosperity for all Michiganders.
The Michigan Career Portal will sunset on April 30, 2026.

The State of Michigan’s central workforce hub provides an online job board to search for open positions. There is also information on training programs, educational opportunities, and resources to assist with your job search. The site also offers additional resources and programs for Veterans and individuals in the Skilled Trades.
The Michigan Works! Network
There are 16 Michigan Works! regions across the state with 95 local offices to help Michigan residents with career advising, training, and resources to get back to work, find new employment, obtain needed credentials, and more. Check out their statewide list of regional offices to find the service center closest to you.
Global Detroit
Global Detroit is a non-profit organization with a wide variety of resources to help you navigate visa requirements, make connections to Michigan employers that have a track record of hiring international staff, and connect with immigrant communities across Michigan.
